Fun at the Colborne Classic Tournament
The Napanee Stars U15 LL Team 2 competed in their first tournament of the season this past Saturday in Colborne. Though down many players, the team played hard and held their own against their challengers.
The team won their first game against Brighton Bolts, 3-2. The first goal of the tournament for Napanee was by Cameron Markland, followed by Taven Huyck-Haller and Ashton Hoyte.
Game 2 ended in a loss, 7-1 to St Joseph Chalmers. Our goal being scored by Taven Huyck-Haller.
In the skills competition, Caleb Scrimshaw won Fastest Skater and Emmett Twiddy placed 2nd for Shot Accuracy.
Game 3, putting us in 4th place in the tournament standings finished in a loss to Newmarket 5-2, both our goals being scored by Ty Chalk.
The team played well and hard all day, and were exhausted by the end. We are proud of them! Go Stars Go!
