Champions!
The TI Flooring Novice BB Napanee Stars have won the OMHA championship this past weekend vs. the Oro Thunder. All season long, this Stars team has been dominating their competition with only one goal in mind: win. The team was as determined as any to reach their goal and taste the success that an OMHA championship and did so in amazing fashion. In 15 playoff games, they only lost once, averaged 2 goals against and had 5 shutouts. On the offensive side of their game, the numbers are truly astounding. The team scored 149 goals on their way to the title; averaging just under 10 goals per game.
After going undefeated in the round robin, it was off to Lindsay to face the Muskies. Losing the second game of that series to tie at one, it seemed to spark the team to turn up the intensity on their playoff run. The Stars swept the final - Oro seemingly didn't have a chance and were outscored 18-6 in 3 games. An absolutely amazing accomplishment for this young group and to do it in the way they have, makes all of Napanee very proud to be represented by a terrific group of kids.
