Letter From Our President
Submitted By Dan Dowling on Monday, July 27, 2020
Hello Napanee Stars Community,

The NDMH executive is planning for a safe, cautious, yet ambitious return to the ice for 2020-21. What hockey will look like continues to be shaped by our minor hockey governing bodies, government, local public health officials, and staff at the Strathcona Paper Centre.

Nobody can predict the future, but it seems very likely that centre to centre travel will be restricted or prohibited for at least part of the 2020-21 season. As well, many new mandatory health protocols will be in place for participants, parents, and spectators.
Further speculation would be very unhelpful at this point, but guided by these assumptions, we expect to begin our 2020-21 hockey season with ‘in-house’ programming. As protocols and restrictions evolve, NDMH will adapt to provide the best hockey experience.
Many of our neighboring associations have discussed working together, and cooperating wherever allowable and feasible.  As we wait for direction, please consider getting involved this year. More than ever, our association will rely on volunteers to ensure a safe, challenging, and rewarding hockey season for all.

Enjoy the summer,

Kevin Dorey – President NDMH
