Peewee AE Stars take Round Two
In a series that saw three OT games, four one goal games and plenty of emotional swings, the boys finished the PEC Kings off with a convincing 5-2 victory in game six on Monday night.

Game 1 (Jan. 31), 4-4 Tie
Game one set the tone for the series, when three periods of hockey wasn't enough. After ten minutes of back and forth OT hockey, the teams settled for one point each in the race to six. Scoring for the Stars were Johnny Hearns, Oronathye Green (2) and Conner Wiltshire who also registered two assists. Nate Cinnamon was in goal.

Game 2 (Feb. 2), 3-2 Win
Game two was the second game straight game that required OT. Scoring in regulation for the Stars were Johnny Hearns and Austin Cantena. Zach Maracle and Dawson Wales drew assists on the Catena goal. Liam Swart (GWG) scored the OT winner with Hearns drawing the lone assist. Nate Cinnamon was in goal.

Game 3 (Feb. 5), 2-1 Loss
Game two saw the Kings play a strong shutdown game that stymied the Stars. The Kings scored once in the first and once in the second and held on for the win. Scott Collard ended Picton's shutout bid with five seconds left in the game. Oronathye Green assisted on the goal. Nate Cinnamon was in goal.

Game 4 (Feb. 6), 4-3 Loss
The Stars dominated the first two periods of game four holding a 3-1 lead at the break. The resilient Kings tied the game taking advantage of a pair of power plays and eventually scored the winning goal in OT. Scoring for the Stars were Johnny Hearns (2) and Bailey Cook-Martin. Dawson Wales (2) and Austin Catena drew assists. Jacob East was in goal.

Game 5 (Feb. 7), 3-2 Win
The Kings, with a chance to clinch the series, would open the scoring early in the first period forcing the visiting Stars to regroup. The boys rallied and for only the second time in the series ended a game in regulation. Scoring for the Stars were Austin Catena, Dawson Wales and Oronathye Green (GWG). Scott Collard, Bailey Cook-Martin, Johnny Hearns and Wales had assists. Nate Cinnamon was in goal.

Game 6 (Feb. 8), 5-2 Win
In the series finale, the Stars, with a boisterous crowd behind them at the SPC, fell behind early when the Kings were gifted with an own goal 18 seconds into the game. The boys facing adversity siezed the moment and took control of the game. Scoring for the Stars were Dawson Wales, Oronathye Green, Jake Reid (GWG), Johnny Hearns and Liam Swart. Drawing assists were Hearns, Wil Peterson, Ethan Martin and Green. Cinnamon was in goal.
