In
game one of the P.E.C. Milk Tournament the Napanee Bantam BB Stars faced the
Ingersoll Express. The Stars had a slow start to the tournament losing 7-0.
During game two of the tournament the Stars
played the P.E.C. Kings. The Stars played a very strong game however lost 3-1.
The hits were 22-15 in favor of Napanee. Emerson Kennelly (#1) was solid facing
thirty-six shots with the third goal trickling in on a bad hop. There were two
penalty shots during the game. Scoring for the Stars on a penalty shot was
Oronhyathe Green (#28) in the third period.
In game three vs. the Manvers Mustangs the
Stars were without a goalie for the first ten minutes of play. Aidan Joe (#40)
volunteered to play goalie. The Stars scored two quick goals. Stars goalie Emerson
Kennelly (#1) arrived to finish out the first. The Stars played very strong
defence and held on to win 6-0. Scoring for the Stars were Mason Barker (#89)
(two goals), Ethan McKeown (#97) (two goals), Oronhyathe Green (#28) (one goal,
one assist), Connor Verhoog (#39) (one goal). Assists went to Caden Holmes (#9)
, Zach Maracle (#65), Josh Reid (#91) and Greg Mills (#24).
In their last game of the tournament the
Stars defeated the Petawawa Patriots 3-0. The Stars scored two goals late in
the first period going to Caden Holmes (#9) assisted by Ethan McKeown (#97) and
Connor Verhoog (#39); second goal to Mason Barker (#89) assisted by Ethan Joe
(#2) and Andy Ruttan (#33). In the third
Zach Maracle (#65) scored an unassisted empty net goal with 30 seconds left.
The Stars played a solid game. Emerson Kennelly (#1) again stayed firm between
the pipes with back to back shutouts.
