Peewee AE's vs Tweed Hawks in first Match-up of the season
The Napanee Peewee AE Stars welcomed the Tweed Hawks to the SPC thursday Oct 20 for their first match-up of the season. With an obvious size advantage going to Tweed and a strong defense, the Stars held their own in an exciting end to end game of hockey.
The first goal came on Napanee in the middle of the second with Napanee answering right back by the end of the period with a beautiful, un-assisted wrap-around goal by Jake Wood. After the short break, Austin Catena (assisted by Luc Amat) quickly found the back of the Hawk net early in the third. Unfortunately Tweed answered back with 2 more goals bringing the final score to 2:3 for Tweed. Nathaniel Cinnamon was solid in net for the entire game making many timely saves and giving his team mates the opportunity to take the win. The Stars look forward to their next matchup.
