Peewee AE's Finish off the year with two good Wins!
The Napanee Peewee AE Stars had a relatively quite Christmas break playing only 2 games to finish off their regular season.
The Stars hit the road on December 23 to play the PEC Kings in the first of their two final regular season games. Napanee was stellar with an unwavering 5:1 victory. Holden Breault held the gates tight to keep the puck out of his net. Scoring for the AE's were Austin Catena, Luc Amat(2), Caleb Justason, and William Peterson. Assists went to Amat(2), Jake Wood, Aiden Haller-Brady, Catena and Elijah Chadwick.
The Peewees revisted Picton on December 30 and with a huge team effort, the Stars shone bright and carried away an 8:2 Victory. Nathaniel Cinnamon and Holden Breault shared the job of net minder for the game. In a strong performance of teamwork the Stars shared the goal scoring amongst 8 members of the team scoring the first 5 in the first period alone. Scott Collard was first to strike at 12:45 with a point shot through a crowd of players followed by Jake Wood, Austin Catena, Branson Leveque-Price, Luc Amat, Aiden Haller-Brady, Caleb Justason, William Peterson. Ben Huyck finished off the scoring after a sweet pass from goalie Breault up the boards to finish off their season sitting in second place heading into playoffs. Assists went to Amat(3), Peterson, Wood, Collard, and Justason. The boys are looking forward to representing Napanee as they prepare for their first game on thursday against the New Mexico Warriors in the International Silverstick finals to be held in Pelham ontario January 8-11, 2017.
