Over the past week the Peewee AE's played a pair of home games, defeating the Tweed Hawks 3-2 on Wednesday December 9th and then defeated the Stirling Blues 5-4 on Saturday December 12th.
Wednesday December 9 vs. Tweed (3-2 Win)
Oronathye Green opened the scoring late in the first period with Johnny Hearns drawing the lone assist. The Stars lead 1-0 after the 1st period. The boys then scored two goals in the first three minutes of the second period with Johnny Hearns and Ethan Martin finding the back of the Hawks net. Connor Wiltshire and Green had the assists on Hearns goal while Martin's GWG was unassisted. Tweed scored midway through the second to make the score 3-1 and would score a PPG midway through the third to draw within one. Nate Cinnamon notched the W.
Saturday December 12 vs Stirling (5-4 Win)
Stirling opened the scoring just past the midway point of the first period and followed that up with PPG marker a minute later. At this point the boys ramped their game up and Connor Wiltshire scored his first goal of the game with Ben Huyck and Johnny Hearns drawing assists on the goal late in the first for a 2-1 Stirling lead after one period. The teams exchanged goals in the second with Dawson Wales scoring for the Stars and Wil Peterson drew the assist. In the third Napanee would take full control of the game out scoring the visit Blues 3-1. Scoring in the third were Wiltshire, Hearns and Braden Bannon (GWG). Assists on the goals went to Jake Reid & Liam Swart, Hearns and Bailey Cook-Martin and Bannon's goal was unassisted. Jacob East went the distance in goal.
This coming weekend has the boys playing three games with home tilts on Saturday (PEC Kings) and Sunday (Ennismore) and a road game in Picton against the Kings on Friday.
