Mid-December Update
The Peewee AE Stars played five league games between December 18 and the 27th compiling a 1-2-2 record.
December 18 against the PEC Kings, 3-2 Victory
The Kings opened the scoring in the 1st period and lead 1-0 after one period. The Stars started pressing in the second period and finally scored just past the midway point of the period. Oronathye Green scored unassisted. The Stars scored again in the final minute of the period when Austin Catena found the back of the net. Zach Maracle drew the lone assist. The Stars lead 2-1 after two periods. The teams exchanged goals late in the third period within a minute of each other. The Kings tied the game at the two minute mark and then with just over a minute to go i. The game Johnny Hearns scored the game winner unassisted. Nate Cinnamon went the distance in goal.
December 19 against PEC Kings, 6-6 Tie
In back and forth affair the Kings scored the game tieing goal with one second left in the game. Scoring for the Stars was Johnny Hearns (2), Jake Reid, Braden Bannon, Austin Catena and Dawson Wales. Drawing assists were Oronathe Green, Zach Maracle, Reid, and Ethan Martin (2). Jacob East and Nate Cinnamon split the duties in net.
December 20 against Ennismore Eagles, 3-1 Loss
Scoring the lone goal for the Stars was Austin Catena with Scott Collard assisting. Nate Cinnamon was in net.
December 22 against Tweed Hawks, 4-2 Loss
Scoring for the Stars was Oronathye Green with Liam Swart and Ethan Martin assisting also scoring was Braden Bannon with Jake Reid and Austin Catena assisting. Nate Cinnamon was in goal.
December 27 against PEC Kings, 4-4 Tie
Scoring for the Stars was Jake Reid with two, Gavin Goodfellow and Braden Bannon. Ethan Martin and Bannon drew the only assists. Nate Cinnamon was in goal.
